Black Charcoal Healing Salve

This may not be a dinner recipe, but it is a recipe worth sharing.

If you're an avid gardener, this salve is great on those overworked hands, cuts, scrapes, even burns. It's safe for the entire family with no hidden ingredients - just what you put into it.

This salve takes a little time to make and heals wounds quickly and safely.

**This is not for excessive wounds that require stitches. Minor cuts, scrapes, and burns only.**

INGREDIENTS:

3.5 oz. Organic Coconut Oil

2 oz. Shea Butter (can be omitted if absolutely necessary)

.5 oz. Beeswax

.25 oz. Vitamin E Oil

40 drops Frankincense Oil (Piping Rock)

20 drops Helichrysum Oil (Very necessary and can order online at Piping Rock)

20 drops Lavender Oil (Piping Rock)

5 drops Tea Tree Oil (Piping Rock)

1T Activated Black Charcoal (Piping Rock)

Directions:

Mix coconut and shea in a double boiler and stir with a wooden spoon until melted.
(set a small saucepan into a bigger saucepan that has water bubbling at medium heat)

Stir in wax and melt, then remove from heat.

Immediately begin stirring in your oils, charcoal, and vitamin E

Pour into a clean jar (preferably dark) and set in refrigerator until cooled and slightly hardened. You will still be able to mush the salve with the touch of a finger after it's completely set.

That's it! If you enjoy this recipe and want to use it to make an all over healing soap instead of a salve, cut your oil droplets by a 1/4 and replace beeswax with 1oz. glycerine base or a goats milk soap base.
